1. What wicknote is
wicknote is a local-first trade journal for discretionary futures traders. You download and run the application; your trade data is stored on your own machine and never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to your journal entries, screenshots, or trade records.
2. Payment and Merchant of Record
Payments for wicknote subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy (operated by Lemon Squeezy, LLC), our Merchant of Record and seller of record. Lemon Squeezy collects payment, issues receipts, and remits applicable sales tax and VAT on our behalf. When you purchase a subscription, your payment details are handled solely by Lemon Squeezy under their terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your credit card information.
3. Subscription and free trial
wicknote is offered as a recurring subscription with a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing cycle. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the current paid period.
4. Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back window after the first charge. See our Refund Policy for full details. As Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy may also issue refunds within the timeframes required by applicable law, regardless of our stated policy.
5. Data you provide
The only personal data we collect via our services is your account email address and subscription status, stored in Supabase (our backend provider). Your trade journal data stays local on your device. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
wicknote is provided for personal, non-commercial journaling of your own trades. You agree not to reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or attempt to circumvent any license verification in the software.
7. Disclaimers
wicknote is a journaling tool. Nothing in the application or these terms constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. Past performance data you log does not predict future results. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, wicknote and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software or service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the wicknote Discord. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
